Siamo quasi agli sgoccioli di questo 2014 e puntuale come le tasse arriva la classi-ficona di fine anno di Metallus.it. Qualcuno si interroga se il rock sia morto, qualcun altro se ne sbatte e tira avanti a suon di ottimi album. Non sono mancati gli appuntamenti live di grande spessore, con un’estate caldissima tra Metallica, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath e Iron Maiden e numerosi ritorni discografici di valore.

Come sempre abbiamo raccolto le classifiche dei nostri redattori. Alle prime posizioni spadroneggia l’hard rock, con il comeback degli AC/DC, seguiti da Sixx:A.M., Slash e Ace Frehley. Tornano in classifica anche gli Anathema, con il loro ultimo omonimo album e i Behemoth, probabilmente l’uscita estrema più significativa del 2014. C’è posto anche per gli italianissimi Elvenking, seguiti da Mr. Big e, un po’ a sorpresa, Scar Symmetry.

Tra le nuove proposte più interessanti abbiamo scelto il vintage rock di Blues Pills e The Vintage Caravan, insieme agli italiani Can of Soul e ai Wovenwar sul lato più metal. Le delusioni sono state meno pesanti rispetto al 2013, ma il primo posto ai Nickelback non glielo toglie nessuno.

A grande richiesta quest’anno abbiamo anche eletto i bonazzi e le bonazze del metal… chi saranno? Ad ognuno il suo… o la sua!

Pari merito tra i CHAMELEONS a Modena e la grande performance dei JOY/DISASTER nel contesto del Festival Helter Shelter a Colturano (MI).	ULVER a Mezzago – Nulla da dire sul gruppo né sulla sua bontà formale, ma 90 minuti di improvvisazione sono stati una tortura degna di un girone dantesco.
