By “Stormwatch“, uscito nel settembre 1979, è l’album dei Jethro Tull che completa la trilogia folk rock iniziata nel 1977 da “Songs From The Wood” e proseguita l’anno seguente con “Heavy Horses“. Disco d’oro certificato negli Stati Uniti, “Stormwatch” è anche l’ultimo platter che vede la lineup dei Seventies della band inglese comprendente Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Glascock, John Evan, David (Dee) Palmer and Barriemore Barlow. Oggi, a 40 anni dalla sua pubblicazione, la Rhino presenta una speciale edizione intitolata “Stormwatch: 40th Anniversary Force 10 Edition” che uscirà il prossimo 11 ottobre. La release consterà di un set di 4CD/2DVD, fra cui si evidenziano:
- album originale più brani inediti associati alle registrazioni del disco remixati da Steven Wilson
- il concerto per intero registrato a Congreßgebouw, in Olanda, nel marzo del 1980
- album originale più 13 brani inediti associati alle registrazioni del disco mixati a 5.1 DTS and AC3 Dolby Digital
- album originale del 1979 mixato a 96/24 LPCM stereo
- 15 brani inediti associati alle registrazioni del disco mixati a 96/24 LPCM e 5 originali mixati sempre a 96/24 LPCM stereo
- Il tutto presentato in un case per DVD con la storia della realizzazione dell’album, annotazioni track-by-track da parte di Anderson e Palmer, foto rare e molto altro.
