Un altro anno si è concluso e come sempre, eccoci a stilare la nostra classifica personale su quelle che sono state le uscite più interessanti del 2011 appena trascorso. Come potete vedere, dando uno sguardo ai titoli segnalati da ogni redattore, i dischi sono numerosi e differenziati, complici i nostri gusti personali e un anno che non ha inquadrato un trend preciso ma premiato album di qualità indipendentemente dal genere proposto. Tuttavia, alcuni nomi sono emersi dal gruppo e notiamo come il caro, vecchio hard rock è veramente duro a morire, portando l’attenzione dei redattori su nomi quali Mr. Big, Whitesnake, gli irriverenti Sixx: A.M. e i Chickenfoot (ma riserviamo una menzione anche per i Nickelback e i mitici Steel Panther). Si confermano poi amati e seguiti dal pubblico, blasonate realtà del metal sinfonico quali Rhapsody Of Fire, Nightwish e Royal Hunt, ma quest’anno in particolare trovano collocazione anche degli artisti che non si possono definire propriamente “metal” ma che di sicuro hanno colpito il mercato discografico con lavori convincenti: Chris Cornell e Foo Fighters. In occasione della classifica, questa volta abbiamo deciso anche di illustrarvi i debut più interessanti da aggiungere alla lista della spesa e con un pizzico di ironia, i flop dell’anno appena trascorso. Bisogna riconoscere che qui, ci troviamo quasi tutti d’accordo: Metallica e Lou Reed, per favore, non provateci più!
Per concludere, le top ten dei redattori, che non pretendono alcuna verità assoluta, ma vogliono essere un piccolo bignami delle uscite degli ultimi dodici mesi, nel caso vi foste persi qualcosa.
